Meet the BabyJabs clinical team
When you bring your child in for an appointment at BabyJabs, these are the people you might see (depending on which clinic you attend and on what day).
Dr Gurpreet K Gill
Dr Gurpreet K Gill
Dr Gill did her medical training at St. Bartholomews and The London Medical School. She went on to do a number of postgraduate diplomas including one in Child Health. She completed her GP training in the NHS in 2012 and then went on to work as a full-time private GP for Samedaydoctor.
In 2016, she became a partner in the Samedaydoctor Canary Wharf clinic and, in 2018, a partner in the Samedaydoctor City clinic.
Dr Gill worked with Dr Halvorsen for over three years as she learnt about his research into childhood vaccines. After Dr Halvorsen retired at the end of 2021, she took over the running of the BabyJabs service out of the Samedaydoctor Canary Wharf and City clinics, as well as overseeing the BabyJabs patients at the Samedaydoctor Manchester clinic.
You can book an immunisation consultation with Dr Gill via video or phone. She has a lovely, reassuring manner and is delighted to be able to help you make informed decisions about your child’s vaccinations.
Dr Kasia Karon
Dr Kasia Karon
Dr Kasia Karon and Dr Gill met in 2009 while doing their GP training, and their experience of looking after children extends back to working together during their rotation in paediatrics. Since qualifying, Dr Karon has spent over a decade as a GP in the NHS and private practice.
She joined Samedaydoctor in 2016 and enjoys seeing younger patients, which is why she is the perfect choice to administer vaccines for BabyJabs too. Dr Karon has a calm, reassuring manner when consulting and always considers family concerns.
BabyJabs Specialist Nurse
Heli Korte
BabyJabs Specialist Nurse Heli Korte
Heli trained as a nurse and health visitor in Finland where she worked before moving to London. She was our first BabyJabs nurse, working with Dr Halvorsen from 2001 to 2006. She also has extensive experience working in hospitals and as a community and district nurse.
Heli returned to BabyJabs in 2019 as the senior and BabyJabs specialist nurse. She has previously administered vaccines in clinics but currently offers detailed consultations about vaccination schedules via video link or phone.
Parents regularly comment on Heli’s in-depth vaccine knowledge, her calm and reassuring manner, and her affinity with children, which helps everyone to feel relaxed and in a safe pair of hands.
